Let's commemorate the 50th anniversary of the death of Joséphine Baker with Pierrette Dupoyet and her show “Un pli pour vous” followed by a dinner at the brasserie, reservation required.
Synopsis:
Premiere at the Avignon Festival - Written, performed, and directed by Pierrette Dupoyet
Joséphine Baker, an exceptional woman, opened her heart wide by adopting 12 children from different cultures, religions, and countries.
She dreamed of a fraternal world where humanity would triumph! Unfortunately, ruined by her excessive generosity, she is harassed by creditors. Despite having received the Legion of Honor and the Medal of the Resistance, she finds herself alone.
When the show begins, a bailiff comes to evict her from the Château des Milandes. A tribute to the courage and generosity of this extraordinary woman.
Press:
"This show moves us... We feel a symbiosis between Joséphine and the actress; both are leading the battle for Fraternity." Theater according to Dupoyet is a love story…
Joséphine could not leave her indifferent… A truly emotional moment! We discover a Josephine Baker who is far from clichés and incredibly endearing.”
